Artiste manager, Lawrende Asiamah Hanson otherwise called Bullgod has disclosed that he is personally paid each month by President John Dramani Mahama, describing himself as being “on the President’s payroll.”
Speaking in an interview on Joy FM’s Showbiz A–Z, the entertainment figure and known supporter of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) claimed the arrangement began when Mahama resumed office.
“Every month when he receives his salary, I also take something small from it,” Bullgod stated. “When they pay him, he pays me.”
However, he disclosed that the payments were temporarily halted in April 2025 after President Mahama pledged six months of his salary to the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, widely known as MahamaCares. According to Bullgod, the President’s decision meant there was no salary to share during that period.
“For six months, nothing came because he dedicated his pay to MahamaCares. It worried me small, but we’ll resume,” he alleged, declining to reveal the exact amount he receives.
