Fancy Gadam
Ghanaian Afropop, dancehall, and reggae musical artiste, Mujahid Ahmed Bello, known by his stage name Fancy Gadam, has called out international music promoters to support his songs to break boundaries.
According to the ‘Total Cheat’ crooner, in an interview with television personality Berla Mundi on the celebrity late-night show ‘The Day Show’ on TV3, since his musical breakthrough in 2016, his music has since not received an appraisal and recognition from the diaspora because he has no international management to promote his songs.
“I have no support or management from the diaspora who are willing to support my music. I am been supported from the North by my people making it difficult to even receive recognition and support from the diaspora to promote my music.
“If you critically listen to my songs, you will appreciate my craft and the effort I invest in making great inspiring songs which speak on the issues and happenings in my community,” he added.
Fancy Gadam is hoping to make his first international stage appearance provided his music receives the necessary attention and support from music promoters and event organisers in the diaspora.
“I pray I get the opportunity to make my first international stage appearance anytime soon, I will never disappoint to pull a crowd to the event as I have done lately. I’m hoping to build more relations with any international entertainers and management who want to support my indigenous music,” he stressed.
Fancy Gadam is the most sought-after performer from the Northern Region, on December 25, last year, he organised his first Accra musical event dubbed “The One Don” concert at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
Fancy Gadam, who performed to over 3,000 music lovers, delivered an electrifying performance of his dancehall songs including ‘Turn Up’, ‘Concrete’, ‘Bie Gya’, ‘Naayo Koomi’, ‘We Dey Collect’, ‘Naawuni Yiko’, and ‘Total Cheat’ among others.
