Gennaro Gattuso
Gennaro Gattuso has admitted he has threatened to knock AC Milan’s youngster, Hachim Mastour’s teeth out after making a name for himself on YouTube with freestyle videos.
The 19-year-old has long been tipped as a future star for Milan and frequently uploads videos boasting his ability and skill with the ball.
However, the no-nonsense manager, Gattuso claimed Mastour doesn’t upload such videos anymore.
According to Football Italia, he said: ‘We’ve talked a lot lately. I even threatened him because he became more famous for making videos than playing, but he doesn’t do that anymore because I told him I’d knock his teeth out!’
Mastour burst onto the scene when he joined Milan as a 14-year-old prodigy, and gave the first example of his ability by doing kick ups with a ping pong ball and a cherry during an interview with Sky Italia.
The stunt gained him significant notoriety among world football, however, his persistent posts have angered his manager and former club captain Gattuso, which may have contributed to his lack of playing time.
Having made freestyle videos alongside the likes of Neymar in the past, his talents are clear and admired by his fellow professionals.
