Nana Sarpong
Nana Sarpong, manager of Hajia Police, has confirmed reports that he took the musician to sign a management contract at Akonedi shrine in Larteh.
In an interview with NEWS-ONE over the weekend, he said even though he was a Christian, he trusted the traditional system of justice hence the decision to visit the popular shrine.
“I took her to Akonedi at Larteh Akuapem because I don’t want anyone to be cheated. At Akonedi they speak the truth and don’t waste your time. I have seen people follow the legal way of doing things and they sign contracts. But when issues come up, they go back and forth in court and nothing happens,” he said.
In a last week viral video, Hajia Police revealed she was taken to the shrine somewhere in Eastern Region under the guise of going to meet her manager’s family.

Instead, she found herself at the shrine being asked to sign a contract, but she refused.
However, Nana Sarpong argued that her decision not to sign the contract at the shrine doesn’t make any difference.
This, he explained, was because they had already started working before they went to the shrine.
According to him, his pact with Akonedi covers for Hajia Police and if she goes against the terms, the gods will act.
“She didn’t present herself to Akonedi but since I went before the gods to talk about the working relationship I have with her, definitely if she doesn’t comply, she will be dealt with,” he disclosed.
“I am working with her for one year. I won’t cheat her and she won’t cheat me. That’s the pact with Akonedi. If any of us does otherwise, nobody will die, but will surely face some form of penalty. The deal with Akonedi is not to kill anyone of us,” he added.
