I Want To Sell My Music Catalogue Too – Wendy Shay

Wendy Shay

Singer, Wendy Shay, has joined the growing list of artistes expressing interest in selling their music catalogues for hefty sums.

Her comment comes on the heels of Shatta Wale’s recent revelation that he sold his catalogue to streaming platform Waka Music Limited. During an X Space session on August 19, 2025, the dancehall artiste disclosed that he parted with the rights to his two albums, Wonda and Reign, for $3.5 million.

In a related development, Wendy Shay has stated that she is also open to selling her catalogue for the same amount. Taking to X on August 19, the “Survivor” hitmaker wrote, “Chale make someone link me, I wan sell my catalogue for 3.5 million dollars last.”

The move reflects a wider trend in the music industry, where artistes are increasingly cashing in on their body of work by selling catalogue rights to streaming platforms and investors.
