I’ll Complete Mahama Projects – Nana

President Akufo-Addo has given assurance that all viable projects started by the erstwhile National Democratic Congress (NDC) would be completed by the current New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration.

According to him, it does not make sense to abandon projects intended to improve the lives of Ghanaians due to political considerations.

The president pledged to ensure the completion of all projects in the interest of Ghanaians during the 2016 campaign.

President Akufo-Addo gave the assurance at Anloga in the Keta Municipality of the Volta Region where he commissioned the Anloga Shopping Center, as part of his three-day tour of the Volta Region, which began on Monday, 9th July, 2018.

Prior to the event, he paid a courtesy call on the Awomefia of the Anlo State, Torgbui Sri III, at his palace and held closed door meeting with him.

The prominent chief, who assisted the president to inaugurate the shopping center, commended him for implementing human-centred policies such as free SHS and ‘Planting for Food and Jobs.’

He also praised President Akufo Addo for his commitment to the completion of all projects in the country.

President Akufo-Addo said the completion of the ultramodern Anloga Shopping Center was in fulfillment of his promise.

He explained that the project is not for any political party but all Ghanaians.

President Akufo-Addo said the NDC administration completed phase one of the project at the cost of GH¢1 million in 2016.

The phase two, which was started in 2017, was completed this year at the cost of GH¢1.5 million, totaling GH¢2.5million.

The shopping center has 26 stores, two banking halls and six offices.

The president noted that the Keta Sea Defence project, which was abandoned under the previous NDC administration due to the lack of funds, would be executed by his administration.

He said government was sourcing for funds in order to get the contractor back to the site to complete the project.

President Akufo-Addo also announced that the Keta Harbour project would surely be executed.

The president later commissioned a hostel, which cost GH¢500,000 at the Keta Nursing and Midwifery Training School.

The facility, which has been named after the late Major Courage Quashigah, is expected to accommodate about 100 students.

President Akufo-Addo ended the first day of his tour at Tadzewu in the Ketu North Municipality where he interacted with chiefs from Anlo, Keta, Ketu North and South, Akatsi North and South, Central, South and North Tongu, Adaklu and Agotime Ziope.
