Yaw Boamah-Nyarko
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate elect for the Effia Constituency in the Western Region, Yaw Boamah-Nyarko, has attributed his victory partly to the good interpersonal relationship he had with the delegates.
The legal practitioner had 321 votes, beating the incumbent, Joseph Cudjoe, who obtained 164 votes in the primary.
“I have been engaging the delegates for the past four or five years during which I made known my vision for the constituency,” he revealed.
“So, I believe that being truthful to them for the past years and explaining my fresh ideas, also contributed to my victory,” he pointed out.
Speaking to journalists, the legal practitioner, Boamah-Nyarko, said his plans among others would be to work collectively with the rank and file of the party towards victory in the general elections.
He indicated that he would visit the various communities in the constituency to share his vision in the areas of education, job creation, health and sanitation among others, with the people.
He appealed to Ghanaians to vote massively for the NPP in the general elections to enable the party to continue with its policies and programme geared towards improving the living standards of Ghanaians.
Meanwhile, a section of NPP activists in the Effia Constituency have pledge to support the candidate with their strength and material resources for victory in the general elections.
“Usually after primaries, a lot of individuals leave the party for one reason or the other, but we don’t want to entertain such situations in this year’s elections. We need to unite to retain the seat at all cost,” he said.
“We are not only going to help the NPP flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to win the Presidential election, but also our parliamentary candidates to retain the constituency seat for NPP”, he added.
