Happier Times! Funny Face and Wife [Inset] George Lutterodt
A Christian pastor, Rev. Counselor George Lutterodt, has made public his excitement that the marriage of popular comedian, Funny Face, has collapsed although the Bible states clearly in Matthew 5:32 that “anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, makes her the victim of adultery, and anyone who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.”
Neither Funny Face nor his ex-wife, Elizabeth Nana Adjoa Ntim, has given any reason for the divorce therefore it is a bit strange that a highly respected marriage counselor would hop from one radio station to the other, jubilating over the breakup.
Counselor Lutterodt, speaking on Kasapa Fm, alleged without evidence that Funny Face and his ex-wife were in a “trial and error” type of marriage and therefore left an avenue for divorce in the event the union does not work out.
“Funny Face had a condition of trial and error and marriage is not about trial and error. So if the marriage has collapsed, I am very happy. It is said that when your neighbor’s beard catches fire, you fetch some water by your side. Those celebrities who are in abusive marriages but are still enduring it, there are two things involved; either you end up in prison to embarrass yourself or you would end your God-given career. So if the marriage is not working, quit. I have absolutely no regrets to have said I am happy Funny Face’s marriage has collapsed.”
“Funny Face and his wife were doing a try and error marriage and this is the outcome. And there are several other celebs also in a try and error type of marriage and there are many more people about to enter into such marriages”, the Rev. Counselor noted.
He continued: “I am happy that Funny Face’s marriage has collapsed and I clap for him. When you are married, you can tell whether or not the marriage would work. When the name of Funny Face’s wife is mentioned, you would realize that they did only traditional marriage. He did not go ahead to ensnare himself by doing the marriage by ordinance which would have committed him to her forever and ever.”
“The traditional marriage is polygamous and he could have added another wife. Anyone who has firmed up the mind to marry does not think twice. The person goes all out to the last end of it. So I am not surprised. But if Funny Face would remain in the marriage and become an abusive object, with the level of following he has, if he would become an object of a negative condition in marriage who would smile in public but frown when he gets home, then I applaud Funny Face for ending the marriage.”
“But woe unto him if he does not seek counseling and goes ahead to remarry, the second marriage would also collapse.”
