Mark Okraku Mantey
Mark Okraku Mantey has described the decision of Daddy Lumba to sue his look-alike, Daddy Lumba Jnr, as unfair and unnecessary.
According to the CEO of Slip Entertainment, the issue of alleged impersonation could easily have been settled amicably, especially since the young musician finds a role model in the veteran.
Daddy Lumba, born Charles Kwadwo Fosu, filed a lawsuit at the Accra High Court alleging that the young musician, born Kwame Anokye, professes to be his son and even impersonates him to get gifts from people.
However, speaking to Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, Mr Okraku Mantey likened the issue to killing an ant with a tipper truck.
“Looking at this young man I’m not sure he’s even made money from the music industry, so if you think he’s stepped on your toes (just call him and settle it in a friendly manner)…especially when he looked up to you or he looks up to you,” he said.
Mr Okraku Mantey said that it would be a total waste of time and resources for the ‘Biribi Gye Gye Wo’ hitmaker to sue Anokye Supremo (Daddy Lumba Jnr), whom he described as “man of straw”.
He added that “I thought that Lumba, what he is doing, earth-moving equipment to kill an ant-like this is not fair.”
