Joseph Matthew
Europe-based Ghanaian gospel artiste, Joseph Matthew, who is also known as JM, has released a new gospel song titled ‘The Name’, which encourages Christians to be strong in the Lord.
The song, which is receiving massive air play on some of the local radio stations in the country, is inspiring and seeks to change the pattern of gospel music in the country.
The song will thrill gospel music fans, especially as Ghana prepares to celebrate the birth of Christ in the next coming weeks.
According to the gospel singer, his new song is an inspirational song which cautions Christians and non-Christians to praise God always and be thankful to Him at all times.
It is available on online music platforms; Amazon, Spotify, Deezer, ITunes, among others for fans to download.
The demand for the song released a few weeks ago has compelled him to do the most expensive video to promote the song. It is available on YouTube.
The artiste is hopeful that the song and its video would touch the hearts of many music lovers and help them to have breakthroughs in their Christian lives.
He disclosed that he ventured into the gospel industry to use music to promote the teachings of Jesus Christ and also bring people closer to God.
He used the opportunity to thank God for how far He has brought him and also thanked Gospel music fans for welcoming him onto the Ghanaian gospel scene after a long break.
JM started his music career some years back and has featured in a number of musical events on both local and international musical platforms.
Born into a Christian musical family in Tema, JM quickly learnt to play various musical instruments from a tender age and sang in the church choir which was led and directed by his father.
He then went on to play in the church band where he had the opportunity to develop his skills further and realised his vocal gifts.
JM caught attention and was featured in a local magazine in 2007 after a captivating performance at Stratford Rex London.
He released his debut single track, ‘Hallelujah’, in January 2019; ‘Nyame Ye’, another smashing hit song in April 2019; ‘My Story’ in 2020, ‘Not Alone’ and now out with ‘The Name’.
All these will feature on his long-awaited gospel album (Solid Rock), which he intends releasing in 2022.
