Kanye West Blows Hot Over Kim Kardashian’s Control Of His Children

US rapper, Kanye West, has lashed out at his former wife, Kim Kardashian, accusing her of wielding too much control over the public image of his Black children. The controversial remarks came after news broke of a planned musical collaboration between his 11-year-old daughter, North, and rapper Playboi Carti, 28.

In a series of posts on social media platform X, West expressed his displeasure, stating, “So Kim got the name and likeness over my Black children,” he wrote.

The 24-time Grammy winner added: “So a white woman has control over the name and likeness of my Black children and then speaks to Carti about putting my daughter on a song with him.” West’s pointed comments also included a further dig at industry figures, as he added, “these [dumb a**] celebrities be trying to play with me in my face.”

The 24-time Grammy winner’s outburst reflects his long-standing frustrations over how aspects of his children’s branding are managed—a responsibility largely attributed to Kardashian. West’s reaction comes amid broader discussions on celebrity parenting and the influence of social media in shaping a child’s public persona.

Kanye West, who shares four children with Kim Kardashian—daughters North (11) and Chicago (7), and sons Saint (9) and Psalm (5)—has often been vocal about his views on artistic and personal independence. His recent remarks underline a conflict over creative and managerial control that has now spilled into the public arena.

At this time, neither Kardashian nor her representatives have commented on West’s statements. The controversy has ignited a flurry of reactions on social media, with many users debating the implications of celebrity influence over family legacies and the role of parental control in the digital age.
