Kanye WestÂ
Kanye West is being sued for sexual harassment, breach of contract, and wrongful termination by a former assistant who worked with him for two years.
The lawsuit, filed by Lauren Pisciotta, alleges that the rapper and fashion mogul sent her lewd texts and performed sexual acts while on the phone with her, according to US media reports.
Pisciotta claims she was terminated from her role in 2022, without receiving a promised $3 million (£2.4 million) severance package. The lawsuit was first reported by TMZ and later confirmed by Rolling Stone, The Wrap, and US Weekly, which noted that court papers were filed on Monday.
According to the documents, Pisciotta was primarily supporting herself via an OnlyFans profile in 2021 when she met West. She says he hired her to work on the first season of his Yeezy womenâs fashion line, and they collaborated on three tracks from his âDondaâ album, though she does not have any formal credits on the record.
West subsequently employed Pisciotta as his personal assistant with an annual salary of $1 million (£780,000) under the condition that she was available “24/7”. She agreed to these terms.
Initially, West was comfortable with her continuing her OnlyFans business. However, in 2022, he allegedly told Pisciotta that he wanted her to be “God-like” and asked her to delete her account in exchange for an additional $1 million. After she closed her account, Pisciotta claims she was bombarded with explicit text messages from West, including pornographic videos.
Pisciotta also alleges that West masturbated while talking to her on the phone and that he pleasured himself in front of her after “trapping” her in a private room on his plane.
Around September 2022, she was promoted to Chief of Staff for Westâs various companies but was abruptly fired soon afterward, according to her lawsuit. The severance package she was promised was allegedly never paid.
In addition to sexual harassment, breach of contract, and wrongful termination, Pisciotta is also suing West and his Yeezy businesses for fraud, unpaid wages, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
