Kelvyn Boy in wheelchair
Ghanaian Afrobeat sensation, Kelvyn Boy, has given vivid account of how he survived a horrific accident last year in Accra.
Speaking in an interview on Peace FM, the ‘Mea’ hitmaker stated, “My driver was trying to reverse, l don’t know what happened, but he lost control. The speed moves he made backwards caused the accident around Haatso area in Accra.”
Kelvyn Boy indicated that he had fractured ankle, bone and kneel as a result of the accident, leading to being confined in a wheelchair for some days during the recovery period.
“Now, I have fully recovered and moving on smoothly, days ago I was in a wheelchair but had to perform some few exercise and keep to medication, now I’m good,” he added.
It would be recalled that Kelvyn Boy narrowly escaped a serious accident at Center Point Mall when a reversing driver lost control.
Swift action by two of his team members saved him, though he sustained a fractured ankle.
Kelvyn Boy, in a social media post, thanked fans for their support, apologised for missed shows, and vowed to perform upcoming events even on crutches, urging everyone to stay safe and grateful for life.
Kelvyn Boy is known for hits like ‘Loko’, ‘Yawa No Dey’, and ‘Momo’. Kelvyn Boy started his music journey in 2015, catching the attention of Stonebwoy, who signed him to Burniton Music Group (BMG). He later left BMG in 2019 due to controversies.
Some of his notable works include, T.I.M.E EP (2019), Black Star (2020), and For the Kulture (2023).
Kelvyn Boy’s music blends Afrobeat, reggae, and highlife, earning him recognition locally and internationally.
