Kennedy Agyapong Slams NDC For Failing To Implement Meaningful Social Policies

Assin Central Member of Parliament, Kennedy Agyapong, has launched a scathing attack on the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for failing to implement meaningful social policies despite their socialist inclination.

Speaking at a campaign event in Abossey Okai, Agyapong argued that the NDC’s failure to deliver on their promises has exposed their hypocrisy.

“The NDC claims to be a socialist party, but what have they done to benefit the people?” Agyapong asked rhetorically. “They have failed to implement policies that benefit the public, and instead, they have resorted to empty rhetoric.”

Kennedy Agyapong’s criticism of the NDC comes as he joins forces with the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, to campaign for the upcoming elections.

Despite contesting Bawumia in the NPP presidential race, Agyapong has thrown his weight behind the Vice President, citing party unity and the collective goal of advancing the party’s agenda.

“I would be selfish if I didn’t campaign for Bawumia,” Agyapong said. “We must all campaign for Dr. Bawumia to become the next president of Ghana. When you go to a contest, there is only one winner, and I am still a member of the party.”

Agyapong’s support for Bawumia is seen as a significant boost to the Vice President’s campaign, given Agyapong’s influence within the party.

The Assin Central MP has been a vocal critic of the NDC and has consistently argued that the NPP is the better party to lead Ghana’s development.

“We should not allow a different government to come to power that will take us backward,” Agyapong warned.

“Dr. Bawumia’s presidency would ensure continuity and progress in governance. We have built something good, and we must not allow it to be destroyed,” he underscored.
