Peace has now returned to the gaming front as Management of KGL Technology Limited releases funds to the National Lottery Authority (NLA) for the payment of outstanding wins.
This was the outcome of a consensus reached with the leadership of the Financial Business and Services Employees Union (FBSEU) of GFL, and the NLA through its finance directorate to release funds for the authority.
Under the terms of the agreement, the released funds would enable NLA to pay outstanding wins—the source of the recent crisis to hit the gaming front.
In the heat of the crisis, the NLA staff threatened to suspend work until the payment of wins – some dating to a year – and the resolution of other matters.
With the intervention of the KGL, it is hoped that harmony will now prevail on the gaming front.
KGL has expressed its readiness to work harmoniously with all the stakeholders of the lottery industry including employees of the NLA to ensure maximum revenue generation for government and enhance the welfare of staff and lotto marketing companies.
The KGL Technology Limited is a licenced online lotto marketing company which operates the official short code of the NLA,*959#.
