King Promise
Ghanaian Afrobeat sensation, King PromiseĀ leads the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) with ten nominations.
King Promise received nominations in the following categories; Most popular song ā Paris, Artist of the year, International collaboration- Continental, Collaboration of the year – fav story, Best video ā continental, Best video- keep it sexy, Best Afrobeats song – fav story, Afro pop song ā Paris, Album of the year – true to self and Afrobeats artist of the year.
Stonebwoy was nominated for the Artiste of the Year, Album/EP of the Year – āUp and Runningā, Best Reggae/Dancehall Song – āPsalm 23ā, Ā Best Music Video – āJejerejeā, Best Reggae Dancehall Artiste, International Collaboration of the Year – āEkelebeā featuring OdumoduBlvck, āJiggle And Whineā featuring Spice, Ā Most Popular Song – āJejerejeā.
Gospel group Team Eternity also received various nominations, including Artiste of the Year, Gospel Artiste of the Year, Best New Artiste, Naana Asiedu (Team Eternity) – āDefeDefeā Female Vocal Performance, Best Urban Contemporary Gospel – āDefeDefeā, Song Writer – āDefeDefeā, Most Popular Song – āDefeDefeā and Group of the Year.
Black Sherif also received seven nominations in categories such as Most Popular Song – āJanuary 9ā and āLomo Lomoā which he was featured in, Artiste of the Year, āLomo Lomoā again was nominated for Best Collaboration and Best Afrobeat Song, Best Hiplife/Hipop Artiste, Best Hipop Song with āKilos Milosā, Best Hiplife Song – āRebel Musicā.
King Paluta followed suit with six nominations: Artiste of the Year, Best Collaboration – āObo Bi Ye Bad,ā which he was featured on,Best Hiplife/Hipop Artiste, Best Highlife Song – āAseda,ā Best Hiplife Song – āSoja Go Soja Come,ā which he was also featured on, and Most Popular Song – āAsedaā.
Sarkodie received nominations in several categories, including Best Hiplife/Hip Pop Artist, Rap Performance for his song “Brag,” Hip Hop Song for “Amen” featuring BeeztrapKotm, and Best HipPop Song for “No Size”.
This year’s edition of Ghana’s biggest music night comes off on May 3, 2025, at the Accra International Conference Centre.
