Meanwhile, many communities in the New Juaben Municipality including Nyamekrom, Asokore, Abrewankwata, Zongo, Nsukawo, Effiduase and two streams have been flooded after the heavy downpour on Sunday.

Scores of residents have been affected, especially at Nyamekrom where the Okomin River has overflown its banks.

A shell fuel filling station at Abrewankwanta round-about was also flooded leading to leakage of fuel float on the flood waters. The filling station has since been shut down while power supply to the area has been cut off to avoid fire outbreak.
