Kweikuma Cultural Group Thrills Audience

Kweikuma Cultural Group, a renowned cultural music and dance group, performed brand-new dance pieces and compositions for fans of traditional music and dance at the weekend at a ceremony held at the Achimota in Accra.

The allure of watching the performance of the group on stage proved to be too much for some of the enthused fans as they eventually deserted their seats and joined in the dancing.

At the event, the group which is made up talented member such as by John Yartry {leader}, include Priscilla Essiamah and Dominic Adu, Muniru Ishack, Emmanuel Adu Bonsra, among others, performed brand-new dances from their extensive collection of traditional and choreographed dance pieces, delighting the audience’s followers of cultural music. It was a memorable evening.

The group which has made appearances at several national cultural festivals in the country has also organized workshops for students interested in Ghanaian traditional music and dance.

Some of the new compositions it is currently working on will be debuted at some of its events.

It has been working to promote and advance traditional Ghanaian music and dance over the years.
