In a heartwarming display of support, Apostle Lilian Kumah, wife of the late Deputy Minister of Finance and MP for Ejisu, John Kumah, threw her weight behind Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s presidential bid during his surprise church-hopping tour on Sunday.
The NPP flagbearer’s visit to Apostle Kumah’s church was a highlight of his spiritual blitz in the Weija Constituency.
At the church service, she use the opportunity to preach the word of God to the NPP Campaign Team and also seek God’s blessings and guidance to Dr Bawumia on his campaign journey.
Dr. Bawumia’s characteristic humility and charm shone through as he addressed congregations at four churches, emphasizing his unwavering faith in God’s guidance.
He reiterated his conviction that “with God, all things are possible,” citing biblical references to drive home his point.
Apostle Kumah’s endorsement is a significant boost to Dr. Bawumia’s campaign, given her influence and connection to the late John Kumah.
Her support is expected to resonate with many, particularly those who were touched by her late husband’s work and legacy.
Dr. Bawumia’s spiritual blitz saw him visit the Holiness Pentecostal Church, Church of Pentecost’s Mandela Assembly, Presbyterian Church of Ghana’s Jerusalem Assembly, and the Church of Pentecost in Ayigbe Town, Kasoa Area.
At each stop, he sought prayers for divine favor, not only for himself but also for Jerry, the NPP’s parliamentary candidate in the area.
The NPP flagbearer also urged stakeholders to prioritize Ghana’s peace, stressing that stability is crucial for the country’s future.
Dr. Bawumia’s visit extended beyond the Weija Constituency, as he interacted with various stakeholders in the Weija-Gbawe, Anyaa Sowutuom, Obom Domeabra, and Bortianor-Ngleshie-Amanfrom constituencies in the Greater Accra Region.
He expressed gratitude to the churches, institutions, and ordinary Ghanaians who welcomed him and his vision for the next chapter of Ghana’s development.
