Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has called on Muslims all over the country to continuously offer prayers for the success of the Akufo-Addo led government as they go through the holy month of Ramadan.
According to him, if the government succeeds in delivering its promises and achieves its vision for the various districts and communities in the country, it will be for the good of all Ghanaians, irrespective of their political or religious backgrounds.
Dr Bawumia is of the view that if the masses support the government’s effort at developing the various communities and districts, the rate of development will be faster than when the citizenry develop an attitude of watching to see what the few people forming the Executive can do.
The veep made the appeal when he paid a brief visit to the Bolgatanga municipality over the weekend. He broke his fast at the Bolgatanga Central Mosque, where he thanked the Muslim community in the Upper East Region for supporting and propagating the New Patriotic Party’s vision for the Zongo communities, during the 2016 electioneering campaigns.
Dr Bawumia reminded Muslims living in the Zongo communities that the government is committed to the development of the Zongos across the country to ensure that all the residents in those areas get their share of the national cake.
