The final funeral rites for Nana Akpor Kainya, father of the renowned Ghanaian musician-turned-pastor Lord Kenya, were solemnly held at the Kumasi Sports Stadium’s Heroes Park over the weekend.

The event marked the farewell to a respected figure in the community who passed away at the age of 78.

Nana Akpor Kainya was laid to rest in his hometown of Apemso in the Ashanti Region, following a ceremony that saw a significant turnout of mourners, including local chiefs and other dignitaries who came to pay their respect.

Lord Kenya, known for his transformation from a celebrated highlife artiste to a dedicated pastor, shared his deep connection with his late father during the funeral.
