Some of the crème de la crème of Africa’s make-up and beauty industry will be converging in Accra for the first ‘Make-Up & Beauty Week’.
The week opens today at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel with the African make-up and beauty fair (AMB fair).
This will, among other activities, showcase and connect Ghana’s make-up and beauty brands to Africa and its global consumers, vendors, partners and service providers.
There will also be exhibitions, workshops and seminars, training, make-up runway shows and live demos. Exhibitors are being expected from Nigeria and other parts of the continent.
The opening ceremony for AMB fair 2018 will start today at 9:00am and run throughout the day with seminars resource persons such as Grace Amey-Obeng (CEO, FC Group of Companies), Dentaa Amoateng MBE (CEO, GUBA Enterprise-UK) and Kubi Springer (CEO, She Builds Brands – UK)
The 2018 ‘Make-Up & Beauty Week’ is being organised by Make-Up Ghana, with the support from the Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture.
This year’s event is under the theme: ‘Make-Up & Beauty. A Catalyst For National Economic Development’.
It is generally aimed at projecting the economic impact of the industry, especially in empowering female entrepreneurs and to also celebrate and reward deserving stakeholders in the make-up and beauty industry in Ghana.
The week will bring together some of the biggest names in make-up artistry and other celebrities in Ghana.
It will be climaxed with the second Ghana Make-Up Awards on Saturday, April 28 at the prestigious Kempinski Gold Coast City Hotel in Accra.
