Samuel Sey
Samuel Sey, a singer-songwriter and instrumentalist known for his latest song ‘Agyenkwa Hene’, has officially signed on to Media Excel Productions.
Though the label did not reveal details of the deal, BEATWAVES gathered that the record label signed on Samuel Sey because he has talent and creativity, and could go places.
Media Excel Productions seeks to tap into the rich and diverse gospel music talents that Ghana has, and promote these talents on the international music scene.
The record label has over the years been involved in the development of Ghanaian music and artiste management, and currently manages over 10 high profile musicians and eight up and coming ones.
Media Excel Productions will be in charge of the branding, production, distribution and marketing of Samuel Sey songs.
“Being part of the Media Excel family truly feels like I’ve got the dream team around me,” he said.
Samuel Sey started his ministry at a very young age singing and leading a group called Precious Jewels and ROPS in Grace Baptist Church, Amakom-Kumasi. He was also known as one of the best and youngest drummers then.
He sang and also played the drums for Ghana’s finest worship minister, Rev. Pastor George Owusu Mensah of St. James Baptist Church in Bantama, Kumasi, Ghana.
Rev. Pastor George Owusu Mensah, who is best known for his song ‘Matwen Awurade Anim’, also helped in shaping Samuel Sey’s talent.
