Sophia Elikplim Dedjoe
The passing-out parade of the 7th batch of the 2025 Police Recruits at the Tesano Police Training School in Accra witnessed Sophia Elikplim Dedjoe topping the national police recruits to become the Overall Best Graduate.
Policewoman Sergeant (PW/SGT) Sophia Elikplim Dedjoe was born on February 9, 1996, to Mr. and Mrs. Dedjoe in Tebgbi, Keta, Volta Region. She had her basic and junior high school education in Tema Newtown from 2004 to 2010. Sophia continued her education at Sogakofe Senior High School, studying Home Economics from 2010 to 2013.
In 2015, she gained admission to the University of Education, Winneba, to pursue a degree in Home Economics and Education, which she completed in 2019. She then undertook her national service at the same university from 2019 to 2020.
PW/Sgt Sophia Elikplim Dedjoe was appointed by the Ghana Education Service in 2021 to teach Clothing and Textiles at Sogakofe Senior High School until she was recruited into the Ghana Police Service in November 2024. In her free time, Sophia enjoys reading and baking.

Alongside her colleagues, Sophia is among the 1,194 recruits who have enlisted into the Ghana Police Service and completed their six-month Basic Police Training at the National Police Training School.
The training covered various subjects, including Service Instructions, Criminal Investigation, and Professional Police Ethics.
At the passing-out ceremony, the Minister of the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, pledged a sum of GH¢5,000 in addition to the award plaque, GH¢10000, 32-inch television, a tabletop fridge, GH¢10000 insurance cover, among other goodies.
