Minister Fires Mahama

Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah-Adjei

A DEPUTY Minister of Information, Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah-Adjei, has taken former President John Dramani Mahama to the cleaners, describing him as Ghana and indeed, Africa’s “worst president” ever.

She has also described the former president as the “most incompetent election observer in Africa.” This follows the allegation leveled against Mr. Mahama that he attempted to ‘rig’ the just-ended Sierra Leone’s presidential election in favour of then opposition flag bearer of Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), Julius Maado Bio.

“The worst president Ghana has ever had, former President John Mahama, was describing himself when he said President Nana Akufo-Addo needed an Obinim sticker to cure his administration’s ‘super incompetence,’” Ms. Asiamah-Adjei fired.

Her comments came in the wake of ex-President Mahama’s attacks on President Akufo-Addo, whose administration the former has described as “super incompetent.”

Addressing National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters at the party’s so-called ‘unity walk’ – which has come to be known as ‘Mahama Walk’ – on Saturday in Wa, Upper West Region, the former president, who still appears to be counting his spoils in the 2016 presidential election, decided to wage war of words against President Akufo-Addo and his government instead of focusing on the ‘deep cracks’ in the NDC which have necessitated the initiation of the ‘unity walk.’

In what appeared to be an admission that indeed, his erstwhile NDC government was incompetent, Mr. Mahama told the supporters that Ghanaians are suffering due to the “super incompetence” of Akufo-Addo’s administration.

Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah-Adjei was not happy about the comment and described Mr. Mahama on her Facebook page as “suspect and beneficiary of malpractices” in the 2012 presidential election in Ghana.

“Mr. Mahama appears to be suffering from a ‘chronic’ credibility crisis with regards to election observations, having observed and declared the last Kenyan elections as free and fair and also having been accused of helping to rig election in Sierra Leone,” she noted.

The deputy minister wondered whether Mr Mahama has the moral right to describe President Akufo-Addo as “super incompetent”.

She wondered, “An ex-president who can’t monitor elections… is that one too an ex-president?

“After all the trail of embarrassment you brought back to Ghana recently, to remain relevant in Ghanaisn politics, you describe President Akufo-Addo today, as though you were talking about your own self,” she lambasted Mr. Mahama.
Rubbishing his call on President Akufo-Addo to get an ‘Obinim sticker,’ the deputy minister stated emphatically, “A president who may need an ‘Obinim sticker’ is still 100% more competent.”
