Miss Metro Ghana contestants
The 15 beautiful young Ghanaian ladies who are vying to win the maiden edition of the Miss Metro Ghana (MMG) title last Friday paid a visit to offices of Ghana’s leading waste management company, Zoomlion Ghana, in Accra to familiarise themselves with its operations.
The purpose of the visit was to introduce the finalists of the beauty pageant who will embark on various sanitation projects to the management of Zoomlion.
The beautiful ladies, who were led by the event coordinator, Denis Glah, were briefed about the operations of the company and the services it render to both state and private organisations, as well as individual homes.
Addressing the ladies, James Deku of the public relations department of Zoomlion disclosed that his outfit has started distributing over one million waste bins to companies and households as a means of improving waste collection and management in the country.
The Business Development Manager of Zoomlion, Michael Tuwor, led the ladies on the facility tour of the Accra Compost & Recycling (ACARP) Limited, which is also part of Zoomlion.
During the facility tour, Michael Tuwor took them through the various processes of managing and some of the end products derived from the recycling process.
The grand finale of the Miss Metro Ghana will be held on March 3, 2018 at Apata Kesie inside the Centre for National Culture in Kumasi.
According to the organisers, the winner will be the official face of the pageant and nationally recognised as an ambassador for environmental sanitation education in Ghana.
The winner will also be an advocate for the promotion of good sanitation practices among citizens and undertake environmental projects during her year of reign.
Miss Metro Ghana is being organised by Kosi Glah Consult.
