Nana Kwaku Danquah III
THE MO Traditional Area in the Bono East Region has installed Nana Kwaku Danquah III as its new Omanhene.
This brings to an end the 22-year-old chieftaincy dispute that has rocked the area.
Following the death of Nana Kwaku Dimpo II, who ruled for 50 years, the Mo Traditional Area was engulfed in chieftaincy misunderstanding, which led to the vacancy of the stool.
The efforts of the National Peace Council and some respectable chiefs and elders of Mo Traditional Area made the installation of the new Omanhene successful.
In an interview with DAILY GUIDE, Nana Danquah III urged the people of Mo Traditional Area to bury the hatchet and allow peace to reign.
He pledged to work hard to earn the respect and co-operation of his sub-chiefs and elders so that the area will develop. In his view, the Mo Traditional Area has got enough to offer for the development of Ghana, and called on all to unite to move the area forward.
He intimated that education will be his priority, and appealed to the youth of Mo to seize the opportunity to get themselves educated.
