Croatian player, Luka Modrić, has extended his contract with Spanish side, Real Madrid, until June 30, 2022.
Real Madrid announced the new deal in a post on its official website and Facebook page.
The club stated in its official statement that “Real Madrid C. F. and Luka Modrić have agreed to extend the player’s contract, which remains linked to the club until June 30, 2022.”
Modric joined Madrid from Tottenham in August 2012 in a five-year deal worth £35 million.
The contract sum for the new deal was not disclosed by the club.
