MOG
Sensational gospel artiste, Pastor Nana Yaw Boakye-Yiadom, a.k.a MOGMusic, has been nominated for several awards at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs).
The reigning Male Vocalist of the Year will be competing with others for the Best Gospel Artiste of the Year, Collaboration of the Year, as well as Best Gospel Song of the Year awards.
Charterhouse, organisers of the annual VGMAs, has introduced four new categories, namely: EP of the Year, Best Gospel Song of the Year, Vodafone Most Popular Song of the Year and Best Afrobeat/Afropop Artiste of the Year.
In March, MOG Music successfully organised his first ticketed show, ‘New Wine Concert’, which had Grammy Award winning gospel artiste, Donnie McClurkin, performing live at the event.
This year’s inter-denominational worship night featured the live recording of MOG Music’s ‘Koinonia’, album.
VGMAs are designed to recognise and celebrate the hard work and dedication of various stakeholders and players in the music industry.
The awards have been duly tagged as music’s biggest night in Ghana, and this years’ edition marks over two decades of honouring deserving creatives in the music industry in Ghana and Africa at large.
