MPASS Headmaster For Constituency Chairman

 Seth Amoako

Former Headmaster of Mpreaso Senior High School (MPASS),  Seth Amoako, has declared his intention to contest the upcoming primary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the chairmanship position in the Mpreaso Constituency in the Eastern Region.

According to the former headmaster, the constituency although a stronghold of the NPP cannot continue to be complacent, adding that when he is given the nod, he would ensure that the party becomes stronger.

“After existing from the Ghana Education Service, I feel the time has come for me to serve the party full time. I have, therefore, formed a dedicated and visionary team from various backgrounds to unite the rank and file of the party,” he said.

The Mpreaso Constituency is an NPP seat but current Chairman Emmanuel Atta Ofori Snr had to resign the position when he was made the Kwahu South District Chief Executive (DCE) last year.

Mr Amoako, a former assemblyman of the area who wants to take over from the DCE as party chairman, has two others challenging him for the same seat.

He mentioned that he is going to provide what he called “dedicated” leadership and form a team that would promote peace whilst expanding the support base of the part in the constituency.

Mr Amoako added that the team would provide quality and excellent leadership for all manner of people, give confidence, hope and love for the party’s foot-soldiers.

“I think this will definitely bring an end to the disunity and factionalism among the constituency executives, polling station executives, as well as the grassroots,” he underscored.

Mr Amoako further mentioned that that he joined the NPP in 1997 and rose to become chairman of the Council of Elders and has over the years been providing sound advice to party faithful who worked with him.

He said during his time as the headmaster of the Mpreaso SHS, he managed to improve the school’s academic performance and also placed measures that enhanced effective teaching and learning in the school.

Aside his personal achievement, he has also constructed two classrooms blocks, teachers’ quarters, rehabilitation of markets, construction of a ‘gari’ factory, installation of street lights and offering scholarships to students as his contribution to the development of the constituency.
