Mr. Eazi and Randy on Friday
Award-winning artiste and brand ambassador for betPawa, Mr. Eazi, on Friday handed over a check of GH¢18,292 to Randy Adu, a customer of the sports betting organisation.
The winner, who hails from the Ashanti Region, was invited to Tomriek Hotel in Accra for the presentation after staking a bet and winning over GH¢18,000.
According to Randy Adu, he used just GH¢5 to stake a bet involving predictions for soccer matches.
During his address, Mr. Eazi advised Ghanaians to erase negative conceptions about betting games, stressing that jackpots are one way individuals can amass wealth.
The ‘Bankulize’ hitmaker stated that music as a profession is a game of bet.
He explained that any artiste who goes to the studio to record a song with the hopes of making a hit is indirectly staking a bet and wishing he or she gets a breakthrough.
BetPawa currently operates in Kenya, Uganda, Zambia and Nigeria aside Ghana.
Bets can be placed with as low as GH¢1 with any device that connects to the internet.
