MTN Eyes More Talents With Hitmaker 7

MTN Ghana launched the seventh edition of its music reality show dubbed ‘MTN Hitmaker’ on Friday.

The MTN Hitmarker is a flagship entertainment event introduced by MTN Ghana to empower youth who are very passionate to take music as a career. It has so far produced some amazing music talents who are doing very well in Ghana’s mainstream music Industry.

The ceremony at the MTN House in Accra on Friday attracted a large audience comprising past contestants and others who have been waiting for the opportunity to take part in the reality.

Noel Kojo-Ganson, a chief marketing officer at MTN, indicated that the contest which will be held for 13 weeks at the National Theatre in Accra will be preceded by a number of activities, including a concert to outdoor the contestants.

According to him, MTN Hitmaker is a commitment to MTN Ghana’s vision and mission to lead the delivery of a bold new digital world to its customers as it moves to make their lives brighter.

“MTN is happy with impact that the reality show is making among the youth, especially in the music industry and as an enabler that creates the platform for the underground artiste to show the world by creating yet another opportunity in season seven to music hopefuls to be part of this journey of music trail,” he stated.

Mr. Kojo-Ganson added that interested music enthusiasts who have been waiting for this invitation can now download the MTN Hitmakers app from Google Play to register and upload songs.

He added that the registration process will be closed after three weeks from date.

MTN Ghana will take steps to help improve the raw talents of applicants who make it to semi-finals by keeping them in a boot camp for grooming by technical teams made up of voice coaches, choreographers, music directors, image stylists, among others.

After the boot camp experience, 12 contestants will have the chance to compete for the ultimate cash prize of GH¢100,000.
