MTN Ghana engaging participants
As part of efforts to transform communities in the country, MTN Ghana’s volunteer campaign program Y’ello Care has engaged some participants in digital skills training in Accra.
The training program was initiated by MTN in collaboration with Engage Now Africa, a non-governmental organization in youth, women and children empowerment.
This initiative forms part of MTN Ghana’s commitment to adding economic value to societies across the 16 regions through its programmes focused on digital education, and digital skills training.
Senior Manager, Radio and Core Network Implementation, MTN, Emmanuel Afutu noted that the telecom company believes that reducing the digital skills gap in the Ghanaian society will help address issues of digital and social inequalities while ensuring the sustainability of the business.
Mr. Afutu further stated that at the end of the 21 days programme, the participants will up-skill to drive economic activity and participation by focusing on digital skills training and digital job creation.
“We hope that by the end of the 21 days of Y’ello Care, a total of 3,000 will be trained in various technical and digital transformation programs to influence their society,” he said.
Country’s Director, Engage Now Africa, Cecilia Amankwah on her part expressed appreciation to MTN for its support in equipping participants in digital marketing, and customer care among other technical training.
