Music Connect Ghana will organise a capacity building workshop for new artistes at the Accra Tourism Information Centre, opposite Afrikiko in Accra.
The workshop is in line with the vision of Music Connect Ghana to work to ensure that new artistes in the country acquire basic skills in music to enable them to meet the challenges ahead of them.
The main focus of the workshop is geared towards pushing Ghana music beyond the borders of Ghana and to create a platform to bring together new musicians to explore the future of the music industry.
Themed âBridging The Gapâ, the organisers promised participants an interactive and practical workshop to help them reach their full potentials in the music fraternity.
The one-day workshop would feature renowned professionals in the music industry in Ghana and Nigeria who understand the importance of music to educate, nurture and link new artistes to good record deals.
Slated for Saturday, October 19, the workshop would also deliberate on development in the music industry and help chart a collective way forward.
A structured and concise segment of this workshop would also avail participants with the legalities and policies of the music industry as a whole, like copyright, publishing and licensing issues.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Music Connect, Esther Konama Gyan, said, âWe are organising this important workshop to equip various music stakeholders with the knowledge of business side of their music.â
âMusic Connect at the end of the workshop will recruit attractive talents and enter into a record and managerial deal with them as a start-up,â she added.
Ms. Gyan announced that registration for the workshop would end on September 30, 2019.
