A Plus and Feli Nuna
Songtress Feli Nuna and A Plus traded insults at each other when they clashed on UTV’s United Showbiz on Saturday.
A Plus described Feli’s boyfriend as a “f**king boy” and she also responded saying her boyfriend is wiser than A Plus.
This was during a heated debate about the boyfriend’s role in her music career and also suggestions that male artiste managers can have sexual relationships with their female artistes.
It all started when Feli was asked if her boyfriend invests in her career, to which she said he supports her as a girlfriend.
A Plus and another panellist Bulldog held the view that male artiste managers should be able to have sexual relationships with their female artistes, a view which Feli didn’t agree with.
A Plus argued that he doesn’t understand why Feli’s boyfriend won’t support her music career and yet she expected an outsider to sponsor her.
“Your boyfriend is rich but does not work in showbiz. So you’re going to look for someone to invest while your boyfriend hides his,” he questioned.
Feli Nuna in reaction asked; “Does what you’re saying make sense?”
She insisted that their relationship was strictly personal and had nothing to do with her showbiz interests for which reason he needs not invest in her craft.
But the response didn’t sit well with A Plus who decided to also drag Feli saying, “You have a rich boyfriend who is not willing to invest in your music. You went to someone else for money and the person suggested that he likes you and you get angry. Let me tell you what doesn’t make sense, it is that boyfriend you’re moving with. He is very f*#king boy.“
Feli at this point couldn’t hold back but maintained some level of calmness. ++She stated that she will refrain from hurling insults at A Plus’ wife because of the respect she has for her.
“I like your wife and I won’t stoop to your level to insult your partner,” she said.
According to her, her boyfriend even sponsored the shooting of one of her music videos at some point in her career but she maintained their relationship has nothing to do with her career.
“He is a proud poet and research scientist. He is bright and more intelligent than you. He supports me as a woman and a girlfriend but my job as a musician has nothing to do with him,” she added.
Feli has since Saturday been trending. A lot of women and social media users supported her stand while others criticised A Plus over his comments.
Fuse ODG is one of the musicians who openly supported Feli Nuna in her argument with A Plus.
He tweeted, “This #UnitedShowbiz panel interview with @FeliNuna has displayed how dangerous the creative industry space is for women in Ghana. A man should have the right to want to have sex with the woman if the woman needs their investment? Proud of Feli for standing up & #IStandWithFeli.”
He is amazed his fellow men are championing what he described as a dangerous agenda.
