Mzbel Drags Prophet To Court Over Alleged Defamation Case

Musician Mzbel has reportedly taken legal action against Prophet, Fire Oja, over statements she considers defamatory.

The singer disclosed the development in a Facebook post on Friday, confirming that she appeared before an Accra court in connection with the matter.

According to Mzbel, the cleric was granted a bail for GH¢ 50,000 with two sureties.

“Today, I appeared before the court in relation to a defamation matter arising from statements made about me on social media,” she wrote.

Mzbel stated that the court proceedings were orderly and expressed confidence in the judicial process, noting that her decision to pursue legal action was aimed at protecting her reputation and professional career.

“This matter is currently before the court, and I have full confidence in the judicial process. I initiated this action to protect my name, reputation, and professional work,” she added.

She further indicated that she would refrain from discussing details of the case while it remains in court, urging the media and the public to respect the legal process and allow justice to take its course.
