Henry Nana Boakye
The newly elected National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, aka Nana B, and his closest contender, Dominic Eduah, attended church service together yesterday.
Both Nana B and Dominic were wearing white clothes to signify victory for the NPP as they stormed the St. Cyprians Anglican Church in Kumasi with their supporters.
Nana Boakye visited the church to offer thanks to God for granting him victory at the just-ended NPP national conference held in Koforidua. Dominic, who placed second in the race, decided to rush to Kumasi with his supporters to make the event grand.
There were spontaneous shouts of joy and ecstasy when Nana B and Dominic entered the church auditorium together and danced to melodious tunes.
Most of the congregants openly applauded Nana B and Dominic for exuding real political maturity after a fierce party contest just a few days ago.
The Minister of Education, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh; the Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah; and some NPP gurus were also present.
The church prayed fervently for President Akufo-Addo, his government and Ghanaians in general.
Later on, Nana B told DAILY GUIDE that he is a staunch Christian and he heavily depended on God for victory; hence it was appropriate that he gave thanks to God.
He also promised to unite the rank and file of the NPP youth wing so that they would play meaningful roles to help the NPP to retain power in 2020.
Nana B stated that he would make the NPP youth wing stronger to help the party to amass more votes to help President Akufo-Addo win Election 2020.
