President Nana Akufo-Addo
PRESIDENT AKUFO-Addo is in London, UK, where he is expected to launch one of his government’s flagship tourism drive projects, dubbed “Destination Ghana”, and hold bilateral discussions with the British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson.
The President left the country last Thursday, March 31, 2022, for Charlotte, North Carolina, in United States of America (USA), and for London in the United Kingdom (UK).
He went to the USA at the invitation of Bishop T.D. Jakes of The Potter’s House, a non-denominational American mega church.
President Akufo-Addo was the special guest of honour at this year’s International Leadership Summit on Friday, April 1, 2022, where he delivered the keynote address.
Since 2011, the International Leadership Summit (ILS), formerly the International Pastors and Leadership Conference, has cultivated aspiring and tenured entrepreneurs, leaders, and influential change agents with invaluable leadership insights.
The President was accompanied by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, and other officials of the Presidency and Foreign Ministry.
He is expected back home on Wednesday, April 6, 2022.
Vice President Bawumia has since been acting as President in his absence in accordance with the provisions of Article 60(8) of the Constitution of the Republic of Ghana.
