President Akufo-Addo
President Akufo-Addo will from today embark on a three-day working visit to the Eastern Region.
The visit forms part of the president’s commitment to deepening grassroots participation in his administration and obtaining first-hand information from the people.
President Akufo-Addo, who since visited Ashanti, Brong Ahafo, Volta, Western Regions, would first visit Somanya to inspect ongoing projects at the University of Energy and Sustainable Development.
The president would move to Dedesu in the Asuogyaman District to inspect the Kete Krachi Timber Recovery Plant under the One District, One Factory (1D1F), which is under construction.
He would also use the opportunity to inspect the ongoing bitumen surfacing of Amanfrom-Tinkon Feeder Road (20.25km) and also tour the Okere District.
President Akufo-Addo would on Friday inspect the Palm Oil Processing Plant under 1D1F at Abaam, near Kade in the Kwaebibirim District.
He is also expected to grace a durbar of chiefs and commission District Police headquarters, Fire headquarters and science resource centre at Akyem–Oda and Ofoase–Ayirebi.
As part of the visit, President Akufo-Addo would also inaugurate the Akim Oda-Akwatia-Winneba Urban Water Supply System at Akim Oda, among others.
The visit would afford the President the opportunity to render account of his stewardship to the voters who gave him the mandate to govern the country.
President Akufo-Addo would on Saturday, 24th November, 2018 inaugurate the Cattle Fodder Bank at Wawasein in the Kwahu Afram Plains South.
He would also attend a durbar of chiefs and people of the Kwahu-Mpreaso and finally end the tour at Nkawkaw where he would inspect roads in the town.
