Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh
NEW PARTIOTIC Party (NPP) delegates at Manhyia South Constituency of the Ashanti Region and Ghana in general, have been warned against fighting among themselves during the upcoming internal polls of the party.
The ruling party’s Member of Parliament (MP) for Manhyia South, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, affectionately called Napo in political circles, sounded the warning.
The NPP would soon start internal elections to select executives to manage the party.
According to Napo, the NPP members, notably the delegates, should embark on a clean campaign – devoid of insults, name calling and insinuations.
“These are NPP elections so we should treat them as family affairs, therefore nobody should adopt insults, name calling and insinuations as campaign strategies in order to avert infightings,” Napo advised.
Napo also warned the potential candidates of the party in Manhyia South against campaigning in his name, stressing, “I don’t have any preference in the party polls at Manhyia South Constituency.”
He urged the delegates to vote for people whom they (delegates) can comfortably work with to promote the NPP in the constituency.
