Apostle Kwabena Owusu Agyei
The self-acclaimed pastor and sympathizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Apostle Kwabena Owusu Agyei has been arrested for threatening the Electoral Commission (EC) Chairperson, Jean Mensa.
During the live service, the pastor who has been uttering threatening statements to supporters of the compilation of the new voters’ register to be used for the upcoming general elections in December, served a strong warning to Jean Mensa to stop the compilation of the new register or die.
Apostle Owusu Agyei, who threatened to kill the EC Chairperson in a Facebook Live Church Service, was arrested this morning by National Security officers while granting an interview to a journalist from Hot FM.
In a video circulating on social media, some men who claimed to be from National Security were seen moving into the house of the pastor to arrest him.
Dressed in a red shirt and black trousers, Apostle Owusu Agyei initially tried to resist the National Security Officers when they approached him with a paper believed to be an arrest warrant.
“Don’t touch me,” he was heard saying as he was whisked away into a black landcruiser.
