FLASHBACK: Ned Nwoko and Regina Daniels
Nigerian billionaire politician, Senator Ned Nwoko, has reportedly caused fresh controversy after Regina Daniels’ best friend, Ann, was arrested by police in Lagos.
Ann was picked up by officers from the Ajah Police Division on Monday, sparking outrage among the actress’s family. The arrest was made on the strength of a court order citing alleged conspiracy, assault and theft.
In a video shared on Instagram, Regina Daniels’ elder brother, Sammy, questioned the basis of the arrest, insisting Ann has never been to Nwoko’s house. He accused the police and the judiciary of acting unjustly, declaring, ‘Nigeria has failed us.’
“There was no time Ann was ever at Ned’s house. So how is there a court order to detain her for conspiracy, theft, and all?” he said.
According to DAILY POST, the arrest is part of a wider crackdown that began two months ago after Regina Daniels publicly accused the senator of abuse and domestic violence.
