NIB Donates To GRAFT Foundation

The National Investment Bank (NIB) has presented GH¢15,000.00 to the GRAFT Foundation.

This is to support the free reconstructive surgeries that the Foundation offers to children born with birth deformities such as cleft lip and palate, post-burn contractures, extra fingers and toes, tumours and swellings, among others.

These defects affect the ability of the affected children to start schooling early and lows the self-esteem of the underprivileged children.

NIB, for the past years, has donated all proceeds from its annual thanksgiving service to the GRAFT Foundation to sustain its operations.

Presenting the cheque to the Foundation, Head of Corporate Affairs, Charles Wordey, said NIB will continue to support the Foundation to help it put smiles on the faces of a lot more children.

He said “the successes chalked with contributions from NIB staff have helped to treat 254 cases over a period of four years.”

Mr. Wordey added that “the donation forms part of NIB’s range of social interventions.

He reaffirmed the bank’s resolve to maintain the relationship with the GRAFT Foundation to help enhance its operations.

Dr Brainerd Anani, Project Director, said “donations from NIB over the years have been substantial and timely as these funds have enabled the Foundation to offer free surgeries to about two hundred and fifty-four (254) individuals.”

He expressed gratitude to NIB for the immense contributions and the sustained support.
