Head of Public Relations for the Ministry of Health Isaac Ofei Baah
The Ministry of Health (MoH) has suspended Fredrick Anaba, Principal of the College of Nursing, Nkanchina, over alleged irregularities involving student admissions and the introduction of unapproved academic programmes.
The suspension comes after the Ministry launched a full administrative investigation into claims that the institution admitted more students than its approved quota for the 2025/2026 academic year.
The announcing of the suspension was contained in a statement issued on Thursday, March 12, by Head of Public Relations at the Ministry Isaac Ofei Baah.
Mr. Anaba was first issued a query on February 19, 2026, regarding the admissions process. After reviewing his response, the Ministry determined that a comprehensive investigation was required to establish the facts surrounding the allegations.
Pending the outcome of the probe, Mr Anaba has been directed to hand over his responsibilities to the Acting Vice-Principal to ensure the smooth running of the college.
The MoH reaffirmed its commitment to enforcing strict compliance with admission quotas and approved academic programmes across all health training institutions, noting that adherence to these regulations is essential for maintaining educational standards.
