Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has surprised fans after going on a lunch date with a dispatch rider who earlier told her he was in love with her.
The rider, identified as Opeyemi, had previously sent messages expressing his feelings.
Sarah shared screenshots of their chats and described his earlier approach as “disrespectful and disgusting.” He also claimed he lost his job after professing his love.
In a new Instagram post, the actress revealed that she later unblocked him and decided to invite him out.
“So I reached out to Opeyemi last night after unblocking and asked him out on a date and in less than a second he replied and accepted,” she wrote.
Sarah said she took him shopping and later treated him to lunch. She shared videos of their outing on her page.
She made it clear that the date was not a sign that she had accepted his love proposal.
“This is not me saying yes to his love request, this is me extending my hands of love to him reminding him that he is worthy of love and affection regardless of his status,” she explained.
The actress also clarified that Opeyemi was not sacked from his job. She appealed to Nigerians to support him with financial assistance so he can get his own dispatch bike and become independent.
