Millicent Owusu-Ansah and (L) Fawzi Abdallah presenting one of the items to Peter Adjei (NPC scribe) and Francis Baidoo Ansah
The National Paralympic Committee (NPC) has extended a hand by way of sharing food items to all its national federations.
The gesture was aimed at helping in cushioning them to re-adjust amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
“As we start another working week, remember to strengthen the observance of the required safety protocols before admitting all persons, including staff, to your premises.
“Let’s wear a mask and ensure that all others do same. Hand washing with soap under running water must be mandatory for all, and have a queue manager to ensure appropriate physical distancing as clients wait for their turn.
But as we have been advised, if you do not have anything essential doing, please #StayHome. Help protect yourself and your family and #StopTheSpread,” the President of National Paralympic Committee, Samson Deen, told the recipients.
He added, “We do have a responsibility as individuals to do our best to support the fight against the coronavirus. And please do not forget the vulnerable in society. They need our support especially in these times; hence this gesture. We are making a passionate appeal to the general public to donate food, water, mask and financial support to help our athletes.”
He expressed appreciation to Save A Life Foundation, represented by Millicent Owusu-Ansah and Fawzi Abdallah, for donating 250 pieces of nose masks.
