The New Patriotic Party (NPP) branch in Canada will celebrate its 25th anniversary in September, this year amid pomp and pageantry.
As part of activities marking the 25th anniversary, there would be a grand durbar in Toronto on September 1, this year.
NPP officials in Canada are hoping that either President Nana Akufo-Addo or his vice Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia would grace the occasion.
Samuel Asirifi, the Organizer of the NPP branch in Canada, made the disclosure in an interview with DAILY GUIDE in France over the weekend.
“The NPP will celebrate the 25th anniversary in a grand style.”
Mr. Asirifi said the NPP external branch members across the world have all been invited to make the occasion memorable.
He said NPP’s national and regional executives in Ghana, as well as other high-profile party officials, have also been invited to the major event.
He added that there would be a Town Hall meeting, which would be attended by the Ghanaian community in Canada on August 31.
He disclosed that President Nana Akufo-Addo’s laudable achievements and programmes would be thoroughly explained to the gathering during the meeting.
The branch organizer also announced that there would be fun games to help entertain and promote unity among the party members.
He added that the party’s members would use the event to make plans for the 2020 general elections.
