Odeneho Kwaku Appiah
THE NEW Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman for Afigya Kwabre South, Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, has promised to use his own resources to print quantities of the party’s manifesto for onward distribution to members of the party.
He stated that the party’s manifesto, which was recently launched in the Central Regional capital of Cape Coast, contains key pieces of information which when relayed correctly would enhance the party’s chances of victory on December 7.
Addressing party members during the inauguration of the NPP Election 2020 Campaign Committee for Afigya Kwabre South, Odeneho, as he is affectionately called, stated that members of the party needed to understand the intentions of the party so that they could campaign effectively and explain issues better to the public.
“Every NPP member in the Afigya Kwabre South Constituency, especially the polling station executives, is the face and spokesperson for the party in the upcoming elections; therefore, you need to study the party’s manifesto thoroughly.
“This year, due to the Covid-19 restrictions, we shall embark on house-to-house campaign and so you need to know every detail of the manifesto in order to put you at the right position to convince and woo the undecided voters to our side,” he stressed.
“I will use my own money to print more copies of the NPP manifesto and distribute them to every party member to study so that you can be convincing during your campaign,” he added.
According to him, President Akufo-Addo has performed well in less than four years and all the massive achievements and plans of the NPP to further develop the country are boldly captured in the manifesto.
He said Ghanaian voters are discerning and, therefore, it was up to the NPP members to explain the party’s achievements and upcoming policies better to them in order to help them to market the party well and attract more voters.
Odeneho was confident that the NPP would retain the presidential seat and get majority in Parliament once again, adding that “the NPP’s target of winning the 90 per cent valid votes cast in the Afigya Kwabre South Constituency is attainable and we only need to work harder.”
