NPP Will Win 2024 Elections – Napo

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh

The running mate of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has stated emphatically that the party will win the upcoming general election.

Dr. Opoku Prempeh, popularly called Napo, however, indicated that the NPP’s victory on December 7 depends on God and not the efforts of the party.

“That is why we have ‘It is possible’ as part of our party’s slogan now. Because we know that with God all things are possible,” he indicated.

Dr. Opoku Prempeh made the remarks when he attended the 50th anniversary celebration of the Mount Olivet Methodist Church at Lagos Town near Takoradi last Saturday.

“Remember that it is only God that can make the angels and even the stones to turn and vote for us. It is only God who can grant us the favour of men. It is only God who can change the heart of leaders to make them better leaders,” he stated.

He explained that the NPP entourage attended the event to seek divine intervention for the party to ‘break the eight’ and win the upcoming general election.

“I know nothing is possible unless there is God inside, and the NPP believes that with the Methodist Church behind the party, it would clinch victory come December 7 this year,” he added.

Preaching the homily, Rt. Rev. Emmanuel Ansah, Bishop of the Sekondi Diocese of the Methodist Church indicated, “Everything without Jesus is nothing, and nothing with Jesus is everything.”

Rt. Rev. Ansah expressed concern about the rate at which some Ghanaians manning sectors of the economy, who are Christians, keep indulging in certain corrupt practices.

“So what is wrong with us? Maybe we have not fully grown in the Lord. I want to plead with all politicians to preach peace as they go about campaigning towards the next general election,” he added.
