NSA Salutes Kotoko

Prof. Peter Twumasi, NSA boss

The National Sports Authority (NSA) has congratulated Kumasi Asante Kotoko for beating Coton Sport of Cameroon back to back in their African Confederation cup qualifiers.

Last Sunday’s encounter which saw a record high spectator turnout, first of its kind in the last ten years during CAN 2008, has obviously rekindled the Ghanaian passion for football and needs to be sustained. In this regard, the Authority is using this medium to congratulate the teeming supporters of Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Ghanaian soccer fans, who thronged the Baba Yara Stadium in their numbers to support Kotoko. It is hoped that, this spectator confidence that has soared would be sustained. The Authority also advises the clubs to consider printing enough tickets so as to avoid any shortfalls in the future. Once again, NSA wishes Kotoko well in their subsequent encounters, as they progress into the next stage of the competition and prays that this feat will go a long way to bring back the glorious days of Ghana football.
